Runaway Bay Run run run run run run run away Stay with me Bae Baby it’s okay Let’s stay in tonight Lock the doors Turn on all the lights We like it bright Cuz White paint It's the new color It’s the color of our lives White paint It's the new color It’s the color of our lives Hard to stay awake In our little middle class palace -OH Look at the view It’s just oh so oh so fatally new You can dream and pretend Life is plastic We only get what we spend It's fantastic Runaway Bay Run run run run run run run away Stay with me Bae Baby it’s okay A wall is beautiful, not only because of its plastic form, but because of the impressions it may evoke. --- It speaks of comfort, it speaks of refinement; it speaks of power and of brutality; it is forbidding and hospitable; - it is mysterious. A wall calls forth emotions. Made a mistake Plaster will break Runaway Bay Run run run run run run run away Stay with me Bae Baby it’s okay

about

NÆ will take you on a glitter-infused dance pop road trip in her Debut Album, Push Button Future.

According to Scapi Magazine, "NÆ’s new album, Push Button Future is a dance-pop confection with a biting edge, commenting on modern-day issues of consumerism, commercialism, influencer culture. It’s bold, flashy, with elements of rap and EDM splashed throughout, skewering white privilege in a catchy way."

NÆ’s music is both satire and performance art, with overarching themes exploring problems of systemic entitlement, latent addictions, and over-consumption. Push Button Future is the collaboration between the artist NÆ (JaNae Contag) and Composer, Musician, and Producer Ryan Black (aka Blizzle). The album presents a sonic experience marked by dominant stylistic influences of contemporary electronic dance pop, with R&B, mo-town, 80’s synthpop, and EDM subgenres.

NÆ’s songs are catchy and fun, but only flirt with the traditional love song lyrics that one might expect from pop music. Throughout the album, NÆ performs caricatures of women who personify the hapless results of aspirational lifestyle marketing. In her 70’s pop-inspired song, “Mannequin Man [feat. Blizzle]” NÆ has an affair with a department store mannequin as a way to escape real life. In “Sugar Pumps [feat. Blizzle]'', NÆ performs as a sugar-addicted aerobics dance instructor. Her workout routine spirals out of control in this up-beat, sample-based dance track (Produced by Ryan Black and Justin James).

With Push Button Future, NÆ brings listeners on a journey to surreal places, strange encounters, and never-ending strip malls… yet presents themes that hit at the core of our American identity as consumers.
